Mecie's Sweet Treats

Instagram is not a friend to my bank account. One day, while I was innocently scrolling, I came across some photos where someone had tagged Mecie's Sweets and these photos were gorgeous. I knew that I had to find her and order from her. However, at the time, my bank account said the budget for fun treats was zapped. I clicked the "follow" button to be teased until my budget was full again.

As luck would have it, she was going to be at The Market at the Oasis! If you haven't been, go check it out. Lots of cool vendors to spend all of your fun money with! I got there early because I had to take kiddo to musical theatre, but it was worth it since sometimes she tends to sell out.

My plan was to have some self control and not buy one of everything she had that day. The lineup for the day: triple berry cupcakes, pecan candy, lemon pound cake, turtle brownies, and monster cookies.

My ordering started with the monster cookies. One for me and one for kiddo (perfect), festively decorated with the spring colored M&Ms, and large enough that you probably should make each cookie two servings. Not so shocking, we each at our cookie in one sitting.

Next up was the pecan candy for Momma Hungry. I'm not an overly big pecan fan, but Momma Hungry ate this up pretty quickly, so I'm going to say that it must have been delicious.

I couldn't leave Papa Hungry out, so I got a 4 pack of the triple berry cupcakes so he could have one and then we could all try them too. 😀

And then it was breakfast time and I was getting a little hungry, and she happened to mention she had made this lemon pound cake that morning and I figured it was meant to be my breakfast. It didn't last out of the parking lot.

I resisted the turtle brownie, but I thought about it all the way to bringing kiddo to musical theatre. I said that I wouldn't regret leaving without it, and I regretted it for an entire week. So the next week, when she was back AND had turtle brownies, I had to go back.

Aside from having some amazing homemade treats, you'll be greeted by one of the most pleasant people you could ever encounter. If you haven't checked her out yet, click here to follow her on Instagram to know when she'll be at a pop up shop, or just go ahead and place an order. Trust me, it'll be worth it! And order me something while you're at it. 😉

  1. Yes! I love her treats! She did a beautiful treats table for my 40th birthday party. Her attention to details and custom work is an added bonus to the homemade taste. She had a very professional presence when setting up, making sure everything was to my liking. I highly recommend Mecie's Sweets if you want delicious, luxurious desserts.
